Your training data stays on your device. Mindback does not transmit your personal data to external servers. This policy describes how the app handles your information and the choices available to you.

Information Processed

Mindback processes the following data locally on your device. We cannot access this data.

  • Game session records: N-back level, task type (single/dual), stimuli type, stimuli mode, and date played.
  • Your preferences: N-back level, game mode, daily training goal, theme, and progression settings.
  • Subscription status: whether you have an active premium subscription (managed by Apple).

How We Use Your Information

Core Functionality

  • Store and display your training session history.
  • Track daily training progress toward your session goal.
  • Adjust difficulty automatically based on your performance (if enabled).
  • Persist your game configuration and preferences across sessions.

Premium Features

  • Process subscriptions through the App Store (Apple handles payment).
  • Unlock additional game modes and features.

Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored locally on your device using an embedded database (SQLite).
  • Your preferences are persisted on-device using encrypted local storage.
  • We operate no servers and maintain no external databases.
  • Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or any third parties. Your training data never leaves your device.

Apple Services

Mindback integrates with the following Apple services, which follow Apple's privacy practices:

  • StoreKit — subscription management.

Your Choices and Controls

  • Delete all training data by uninstalling the app.
  • Adjust or reset your game settings at any time.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription through your device's Settings.

Children's Privacy

Mindback is designed for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must manage the account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy when we add features or when laws change. We will:

  • Post the revised policy in the app.
  • Update the date shown at the top.

Review this policy periodically. Continued use of Mindback after a change means you accept the updated terms.
