Acceptance of Terms

Using Mindback means you accept these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the app.

You must be 13 or older. Users under 18 need parental or guardian consent.

Your License to Use Mindback

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install Mindback on your personal Apple devices.
  • Use Mindback for personal, non-commercial cognitive training.
  • Track your training sessions, scores, and progress.

You may NOT:

  • Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the app.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding.
  • Use Mindback for commercial purposes without written permission.
  • Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or feature limits.

Your Content and Feedback

Your training data belongs to you. You can delete it anytime by uninstalling the app.

By using Mindback, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to operate the app. This license ends when you delete your data.

If you share feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Mindback without compensation. This helps us build a better app for everyone.

Intellectual Property

Mindback, including its name, logo, design, and code, is owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not use the Mindback name or branding without written permission.

Subscription Terms

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Mindback offers monthly and yearly premium subscriptions through the App Store.

Billing and Renewal

  • Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to stop renewal.
  • Apple charges for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.

Free Trial

Free trials last for the stated period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid charges.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime in Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. You keep access until the current period ends.

Refunds

Apple manages refunds according to its policies. Request refunds through Apple Support.

Data and Privacy

Your training data belongs to you. It lives on your device. We cannot access it.

Delete your data anytime by uninstalling the app. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Health and Cognitive Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: MINDBACK IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVICE.

Not Medical Advice

  • Mindback is a cognitive training tool based on the N-back task.
  • We are not licensed medical professionals, psychologists, or therapists.
  • The app does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
  • Training results and scores are for informational and personal tracking purposes only.

Your Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for your cognitive training choices.
  • Do not use Mindback as a diagnostic or treatment tool.
  • Consult qualified professionals for any medical or cognitive concerns.

Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINDBACK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The app will function uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Defects will be corrected in any particular timeframe.
  • The app is free of viruses or harmful components.
  • Training with the app will produce specific cognitive outcomes.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

  • Loss of Data: loss or corruption of your training data.
  • Costs of Substitute Services: finding alternative apps or services.
  • Any Other Intangible Losses.

Maximum Liability: In any case, our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or EUR 50 if you have not paid anything).

Jurisdictional Variations: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, an EU member state. Romanian law aligns with EU regulations, including GDPR for data protection.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern:

  1. Contact us first. We will work with you in good faith to resolve issues informally.
  2. EU residents can use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
  3. Legal proceedings must be brought in Romanian courts.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the complete agreement between you and the developer. They replace any prior understandings.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when we add features or when laws change. We will:

  • Post the revised Terms in the app.
  • Update the date shown at the top.

Review these Terms periodically. Continued use of Mindback after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

By using Mindback, you agree to these Terms. You confirm:

  • You have read and accept these Terms.
  • You are 13 or older (or have parental consent).
  • You will follow all applicable laws.
  • You understand Mindback is a training tool, not medical advice.
  • Premium features require an active subscription.
